We know water restrictions in North Texas may prohibit watering on the same day we service your lawn.

We apply a slow-release fertilizer that can sit on your lawn until the allowed watering day. If you water effectively during these allowed times, you can still have a healthy, green lawn.

What You Can Do

North Texas turf grass needs 1 to 1.5 inches of water each week. For pop-up sprinklers, this takes about 1 hour; rotor (oscillating) sprinklers need about 2 hours.

One Day/Week Water Restrictions:

Water four times on your watering day at 4:30 am, 7:30 am, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm

Pop-up spray heads = 12 – 15 minutes per zone

Rotor (oscillating) heads = 25 – 30 minutes per zone

Two Day/Week Water Restrictions:

Water two days per week, twice on each day (example: Monday and Thursday)

The start time should be 5:30 am and 7:30 am

Pop-up spray heads = 12 – 15 minutes per zone

Rotor (oscillating) heads = 25 – 30 minutes per zone

No Water Restrictions:

Water two days per week, twice on each day, (example: Monday and Thursday)

The start time should be 5:30 am and 7:30 am.

Pop-up spray heads = 12 – 15 minutes per zone

Rotor (oscillating) heads = 25 – 30 minutes per zone

Note that all runtimes may vary due to shade and/or slope issues. Using this as a guide, you can help your lawn look its best. Remember to also “mow long” each week to keep your lawn healthy. If you have questions or comments please call our office at (972) 727-9207.
